Kamp Kiwanis

Kamp Kiwanis wishes to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is in Treaty 7 territory. This is within and surrounding the traditional meeting grounds and home for many Indigenous Peoples, including Blackfoot Nations: Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai, the Tsuut’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nations. This is also home to the Métis communities of Region 3 in Alberta. We also wish to acknowledge the Inuit people who join us in this area and bring with them a rich and beautiful culture from which we learn. We wish to honour the Elders, Knowledge Keepers and traditionalists who have gone before us and those who continue to walk with us today. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
