Who can attend Kamp Kiwanis - Calgary?

Any child living in the Calgary, Alberta area, finishing grade 4, 5 or 6 who may not get the opportunity to attend a summer camp due to family circumstance or financial situation.

What is the process for application to attend Kamp Kiwanis - Calgary?

Children can be nominated by teachers. Typically, children are nominated by a teacher at their school. Nomination packages are available beginning around the beginning of April of each year. Nomination packages can be requested by emailing a request to the Camp Director.

How are children selected to attend Kamp Kiwanis - Calgary?

Children are selected by members of the Kiwanis Club of Calgary (Kamp Kiwanis) based on expressed need at a selection meeting that usually takes place around the middle of May of each year.

Who are the staff at Kamp Kiwanis?

Our CEO, Chris Sheasby, began working with Kamp Kiwanis in 2000.  He began his role as CEO in 2012.

Our Camp Director, Jessica Carrier, was appointed in February 2012 and has been working with Kamp Kiwanis since 2007.
