The Kiwanis Club of Calgary Downtown has sponsored thousands of children to attend Kamp Kiwanis.

Over three million dollars has been invested in upgrading Kamp Kiwanis over the past dozen years. Programs and subsidies are now offered year round to Calgary and area children.

Kamp Kiwanis has truly become a "Haven for Children" where they are offered an environment of safety, health and security.

Upgrades Continue

In 2008, a canoe and fishing pond, "Lake Strum", was constructed thanks to many partners who participated in its construction . Recently, the addition of a traffic circle has made a once dangerous intersection into one that is very safe and a pleasure to use.

In 2010 our goal is to continue to offer new programs to children. Our plans are to construct a low ropes challenge course which can be used throughout the year by young and old. After that a larger and more convenient Recreation Hall is planned.

This constant upgrading of facilities and program offerings combined with an ever increasing number of children who are 100% sponsored puts a great financial and fund raising strain on both volunteers and Kamp staff.
